| In June, sixteen outstanding East Hampton young men and women were selected by the Student Awards Committee to receive LVIS college scholarships. The total money awarded was over $100,000. Destinations of these students include College of the Holy Cross, Skidmore, University of California, Loyala, University of Arizona, Boston College, Wesleyan and University of Connecticut. This year marks the first time all East Hampton High School students, including those in Amagansett, Montauk and Springs, were eligible for LVIS scholarships. | ![]() |

| In December of 2011 LVIS awarded $3000 Madelon DeVoe Talley scholarships to Patricia Grande and Bobbi Coleman. The scholarship is awarded to a woman who is at least twenty-five years old and wishes to enter or return to college to earn a bachelor’s degree. Patricia attends Suffolk Community College, pursuing a teaching career. Bobbi also attends Suffolk, studying business and human resources. Our 2012 winners will be announced in late fall. | ![]() |
