SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

On June 14th,  eight outstanding East Hampton young men and women were selected by the Student Awards Committee to receive $10,000 each toward their college tuition.  Destinations of these students include Villanova, University of San Francisco, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, West Forest University, New York University, and  Tufts University.

Beginning in 2011, all East Hampton High School students, including those in Amagansett, Montauk and Springs, will be eligible for LVIS scholarships.

The Madelon DeVoe Talley Scholarship of $3,000 is given to an East Hampton woman 25 years or older who wants to return to college for a degree. This year LVIS intends to grant two awards because of the large number of applicants it received in 2009. Winners will be announced in the fall.
