Ladies’ Village Improvement Society

Keeping East Hampton Beautiful Since 1895

Welcome to the LVIS!

Ladies’ Village Improvement Society (LVIS) is dedicated to protecting East Hampton’s natural beauty and preserving its heritage.

We maintain the trees, greens, ponds, and parks, that define our village. We champion historic preservation, support educational opportunity with scholarships, and bring neighbors together through community events.

Funded by donations, volunteer efforts, and proceeds from our thrift shops—books, clothing, housewares, and furniture—LVIS keeps East Hampton vibrant, welcoming, and well cared for.
