Memorial Trees and Plaques
East Hampton residents and visitors alike enjoy our trees. Purchasing a memorial tree plaque is a way for people to help our trees and at the same time, to recognize a family member, friend, or a special event. Plaques are ordered through the LVIS Tree Committee. Donors decide what name and message will be imprinted on the plaque and what Village street tree it will adorn. Plaques are attached to cement bases. Once planted, plaques are meticulously tended by Tree Committee members who remove weeds and brush away debris keeping all 650 Village plaques in ship-shape condition. It is indeed a joyful experience to walk the streets of the Village of East Hampton, to admire the magnificent trees, and to stop at tree plaques along the way to read about people who were touched by our Village over the years.
For more information, please fill out the form below and submit it to the LVIS office. A member will follow up with a call to discuss the $1000 donation and available locations. If you wish to plant a new tree for your plaque, we will be happy to discuss your choice of tree, possible locations, and cost.
